TERMS OF USE

Canada-wide Astronomy Buy & Sell (CABS) reserves the right to amend these terms of use at any time, to terminate your registration for any reason or no reason at all, and to delete ads at any time.

This service is to be used ONLY for listing astronomical equipment, such as telescopes and related accessories.

Placing regular ads is completely free of charge for individuals placing non-commercial and not-for-profit ads. If you are an individual selling with the intent of making a profit, you will be considered a business and will be expected to pay for ads.  More on this topic further below.

After a period of time some users may be asked to pay a small fee for placing ads, prior notification will be given and fees will never be retroactive.  Various criteria, such as the number and frequency of ads, the advertising pattern and ad types, and reasonable usage will be used to determine whether a fee will apply.

Language that is rude, aggressive, threatening towards the owners and operators of CABS will result in immediate and permanent banning.

By posting ads or by responding to ads on Canada-wide Astronomy Buy & Sell, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

CABS is just a venue for sellers to list items (or to solicit an offer to buy items) and for buyers/sellers to browse the ads. We do not get involved in the actual transaction between the buyer and seller.

Due to privacy and identity fraud concerns, you can use an alias as a user name when registering. However, you are expected to provide your real first and last name in the space provided - your real name is only visible to the webmaster.  Failure to provide your real full name will result in denial of access to CABS.

CABS and its owners and operators have no knowledge of the quality, legitimacy, and accuracy of the listings. You deal directly with the buyer or seller at your own risk.

Because CABS and its owners and operators are not involved in the actual transaction between buyer and seller, in the event of a dispute during a transaction you agree to release CABS and its owners and operators from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

In the event the CABS web site is hacked and names, emails, phone numbers, and hashed passwords are stolen, you agree to release CABS and its owners and operators from claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with the theft of your registration details. To minimize problems we suggest you use a password that is unique to this web site.

CABS reserve the right to edit ads for brevity and conciseness and to delete ads that do not qualify as "astronomical equipment".

CABS is a free service thus CABS and its owners and operators are under no obligation to provide continuous service. This web site may be unavailable at times due to unforeseen circumstances, such as site maintenance or technical problems.
