Celestron 4se Mak OTA

Celestron 4se OTA only for sale. Has a slight mark on it where I spilt some super glue whilst gluing the focus knob back on - looks far worse in the photos than in real life!

I have removed the Celestron dovetail (but can include it and bolts if required) and covered the bolt whole with red electrical tape (as can be seen in the photos).

Please note that the Baader finder, mount, tripod and aluminium billet are NOT included in the sale.

Meade Starfinder 16" EQ mount

Hi there all,

As you may seen, I have been looking for an inexpensive dead, broken Heavy Duty EQ mount.

After doing some research and seeing that a 16" Meade Starfinder EQ mount only go upto £200, one of these would certainly solve my problem.

EQ6 Pro in excellent condition and ADM Losmandy saddle (extra)

Selling my EQ6 pro in excellent condition. The mount is 2 years old, bought him from the first owner who also tuned the mount.
The mount is fitted with deluxe altitude knobs which replaced the flimsy original ones.

Included are 3 counter weights who, unlike the mount, show signs of wear and the SynScan hand controller. Have all original packagings.

Looking for 660 £ Pick up or I could deliver in an 40 miles radius for the cost of petrol

I also have the ADM Losmandy saddle with puck. You can simply take the Vixen saddle from the EQ6 of and replace it with this saddle and puck. Much sturdier than having a Vixen to Losmandy adapter. Would prefer to sell it due to the weight together with the mount.

RARE CHANCE! Vintage 75mm/F15 Polarex/Unitron Photo-equatorial on original eq mount, loaded with accessories...details

Acquisition of a 6" Astro Physics means that I have to consider selling some of my prizes, and this one hurts more than others.

This is a circa. 1970 Polarex (Unitron in the USA) Photo-equatorial. Probably one of the only ones in the UK.

In many ways, this is one of the most iconic telescopes of the 20th Century, from the ground up. The tripod is hardwood, and features a clever folding design, and the equatorial mount is one of the most elegant from any modern manufacturer of the 20th century. It features a collection of hand controls, adjustment stalks, and various other knobs to keep the user happy and occupied.

I have used this circa 1970, 3" Polarex Photoequatorial often, and it is a gem. The mount alone is a work of metallic art. It comes with lots of original accessories (unless otherwise specified), including:

-Original Polarex RA motor drive (UK voltage & plug)
-40mm Mono eyepiece
-Polarex diagonal
-Polarex (I believe) barlow insert
-Unibalance clamps, rod & weight
-Camera piggyback bracket & OTA clamp
-Polarex solar projection rod & screens
-Polarex full aperture solar filter. this is not safe for visual use, rather it cuts about 80%, so that your eyepieces are not at risk during solar projection use
-original wood boxes for the OTA & eq head
-Guidescope clamps & rings (the guidescope is not original)

Please note that the guidescope is not original, but is an appropriate Japanese example from this era. The lens is undamaged, very clean, and optically a very good one, and the RA drive works beautifully.

This iconic telescope is a very sought after telescope, and as collectors spirit them away, they are becoming more and more scarce. The asking price of £1300 is a fair one, and would be similar to the price of buying one from the USA, and importing. However, this is in the UK, so you have no shipping issues, and no duty to pay.

It has the same minimum and maximum height and weight capacity as its current equivalent the UNI 4:

Like the UNI 4 it is rated at 60kg which is the heaviest rating of the Berlebachs other than the 'Planet' and 'Sky' models. The central mounting screw is 3/8” the same thread as used for large photographic accessories.

For trade I have a TMB 130/780 in light-weight tube and a Sky90, both in excellent cosmetic and optical condition, with the exception of two very small chips (~1mm each) on the TMB's dew-shield. I could have touched these up but haven't bothered as they're barely noticeable.
