Includes: • optical tube • 8x50 illuminable finder • piggy back camera mount • tube-rotating-ring with flat mounting plate • Russian 2" Crayford focuser with adapter 2"/1.25" • 12 Volt cooling fan at rear • Original wooden box for transport/storage • Optional bespoke home-made heavy duty rolling wooden observing platform on 8ft runway deck MN78 (7’’ f/8) optical tube, finder scope, piggy back camera holder, 2" Crayford focuser with 1.25" adapter. Tube is cream-white with cooling fan at rear. These telescopes are no longer in serial production and are made only for special customer order and requirements, so they are fully custom made telescopes now. This is a 7"F/8 (180F/1440) Maksutov Newtonian with only 13.4 % central obstruction, small enough to show no difference when compared with a same size colour free apochromatic. Field of view is enough for 1.25" eyepieces; back focus is enough to use CCD Cameras with smaller sizes chips. The scope comes in cream-white paint and 2" Russian focuser with adapter 2"/1.25". At the rear of the primary mirror is attached a 12-volt cooling fan and around the meniscus lens are holes spaced for active cooling. The tube rings have a guide scope mount plate on top and on the bottom a Losmandy G11 rail (other rails are possible). I think, no other catadioptric telescope can come closer to a real apochromatic in contrast and performance.
